Inwood House is a private, non-profit corporation, recognized as a 503(c)(3) organization by the IRS. We would be glad to provide you with a receipt to show our acknowledgment and appreciation of your contribution.
New and used
items in good condition are put to good use by the residents and the management.
Monetary contributions are used for special events for the residents. The social events bonds our community and adds a joyous and full life. The residents at Inwood House know each other, look out for each other and enjoy special times. You can't help but have a great time at the annual crab feast, the Thanksgiving dinner, the St. Patrick's Day party and the trips to Laural Raceways or Atlantic City. Children and the elderly are in the minority at Inwood House so special activities are held just for them. The children and their families hold a holiday party and enjoy trips to the county fair. The "Over 60 Club" enjoys luncheons out and afternoon teas.
Join our team of volunteers as you gain valuable experience in addition to the heartfelt knowledge that you are helping to make someone's day (or life!) better. Civic organizations and businesses assist with our special events and projects. Individuals and families can volunteer on a schedule and commitment level suited just to their lifestyle. We are Student Service Learning certified by Montgomery County Public Schools. Internships, both high school and college, are welcome.
Ways to volunteer include:
Money managers, Friendly visitors, Special events, Recreation leaders, Board member, Office assistants, Computer instructors and troubleshooters
